Reading has always been a passion of mine so to find out my daughter struggled to read was worrisome and concerning. I wondered about her future.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"ok_Wdg vZU7QQ RVfbug\"><span class=\"S1PPyQ\">Being the parent of a child who learns differently has given me knowledge and understanding of what it takes to help a child who struggles to read, along with empathy and respect for the challenges they face. As a result, I tailor my lessons to support the individual needs of my students for one-on-one sessions.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"ok_Wdg vZU7QQ RVfbug\"><span class=\"S1PPyQ\">My love for reading, and the fact that I think everyone has the right to learn to read, led me to start volunteering as a reading tutor in 2008.
